2. Common Network Configuration Issues

1. What to Do When Network Configuration Fails?

During network configuration, if you encounter device connection failure, no response for a long time, or "Configuration Failed" prompt, it may be due to the following reasons:

1.1 Device Only Supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Network

Our products only support connecting to 2.4GHz band Wi-Fi and currently do not support 5GHz networks. Please note the following common scenarios:

Scenario 1: Connecting to Home Router Wi-Fi
  • Example 1: Phone connected to dual-band merged network, device connection fails
  • Reason: The router merges 2.4GHz and 5GHz into the same Wi-Fi name, while the phone is connected to 5GHz; the device doesn't support 5GHz, causing configuration failure.
  • Solution: Log in to the router backend, name 2.4GHz and 5GHz signals differently (e.g., "Home_2.4G" and "Home_5G"), then select "Home_2.4G" during configuration.
  • Example 2: Router only enables 5GHz band, disables 2.4GHz
  • Reason: 2.4GHz network is disabled, device cannot connect.
  • Solution: Enter router settings, enable 2.4GHz band, ensure it's visible, then reconfigure.
Scenario 2: Using Mobile Hotspot

When using a mobile hotspot, ensure it's on the 2.4GHz band, otherwise the device cannot recognize it:

  • Example 1: iPhone hotspot defaults to 5GHz, device can't connect
  • Solution: Open iPhone Settings > Personal Hotspot > Enable "Maximize Compatibility" to switch hotspot to 2.4GHz.

  • Example 2: Android hotspot has no password or name contains special characters, and not set to 2.4GHz
  • Reasons & Solutions:

  • Modify Hotspot Name and Password:

    • Use simple English or numbers for name (e.g., "MyHotspot").
    • Set 8+ digit alphanumeric password.
    • Force Enable 2.4GHz Hotspot (varies by brand):

    • Go to Phone Settings > Network & Internet > Hotspot & Tethering > Set up Portable Hotspot.

    • Find "Hotspot Band" or "AP Band" option, select "2.4GHz".
    • Save and restart hotspot before configuration.

2. Incorrect Wi-Fi Account or Password

Ensure the entered Wi-Fi information is accurate:

  • Avoid spaces and special symbols in Wi-Fi name (SSID);
  • Passwords are case-sensitive, avoid extra spaces or characters when copying;
  • Avoid using hidden SSID or enabling security policies like MAC address filtering.

3. Still Having Problems?
